With an aim to bring globally trusted professional development certifications to preschool teachers in Vietnam, in December 2025 the Vietnam Association for Nonpublic Preschool Education is teaming up with the International STEM Association and KidsEdu Vietnam to organize a customized Training of Teacher (ToT) course, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, the first Vietnamese Master Trainer certified by STEM.org in the category of preschool STEM education. Course Overview
This ToT course combines hands-on preparatory sessions specifically designed for Vietnamese preschool teachers, and the standard ToT course by STEM.org, represented in Vietnam by the International STEM Association. Participants will be equipped with foundational knowledge of STEM education, methods for organizing lessons according to the 5E and EDP models, and skills in developing STEM lesson plans aligned with the Vietnamese preschool education framework.
Learning Outcomes
By completing this ToT course, teachers will be able to:
– Master the foundations and principles of STEM education as universally defined and adopted across education systems globally;
– Develop structured STEM lesson plans that are aligned with the Vietnamese preschool education framework;
– Qualify for blockchain-protectedSTEM.org certification.
Course format and fee
This ToT course is available in two flexible learning formats: online-only learning, and blended learning.
Online-only learning format:
– Self-paced study on an online platform for 7-10 days
– 1 online session: guidance on lesson plan development, lesson plan analysis, and Q&A
– Guidance on how to complete a graduation project (capstone project): theory and practice
– Group assignments
– Course fee: 4,500,000 VND/participant
Blended learning format:
– 2 in-person training sessions
– 1 session observing a STEM.org-aligned lesson
– Guidance on completing theory assignments Online Capstone Project Theory
– Guidance on completing practical exercises (video recording of teaching sessions) for the capstone project
– Course fee: 7,900,000 VND/participant
