KidsEdu Vietnam makes our decision to integrate WhalesBot into the our preschool STEM curriculum for kindergarten children (3-6 years old children), stemming from the following considerations:
For children in the 3-4 age group, WhalesBot has kid-Friendly magnetic learning kits that use colorful, arrow-marked electronic blocks with magnetic attraction/repulsion for easy assembly to enhance children’s understanding of sequential logic through sensors, controllers, and actuators.
WhalesBot U20 kits enable 3-4 years old children practice assembling through shapes with up to 20 parts/model, helping children master the skills to assemble and create models, while also developing problem-solving abilities. At the cognitive level, these kits when used in KidsEdu Vietnam STEM activities, help 3-4 years old children recognize the relationship between natural science and life through understanding simple physical phenomena such as levers, gears and other structures.
For children in the 5-6 age group, WhalesBot focuses on developing the children’s perception of dynamic transmission (gears, pulleys); learning the basic movement logic of robots (forward, backward, left, right) and exploring loop logic.
With KidsEdu Vietnam‘s STEM curriculum, children in the 5-6 age group are enabled to understand basic #robotics concepts such as acceleration and deceleration, gears, screws, concepts of rotation direction of objects, and spatial position.
They also master the logical relationships when connecting programming blocks and controlling the robot using a combination of programming blocks that perform tasks related to input/output and controller functions. Children create a sequence of programming commands for the robot and develop creativity through assembling and coordinating command cards to complete tasks.
Together, KidsEdu Vietnam and WhalesBot are making robotic education possible in Early Childhood Education!
