VietNamKIDSEDU INTERNET SECURITY AND PRIVACY OF INFORMATION
1. User Policy
KidsEdu’s STEM educational program, with its AI-enabled online platform, aims to bring affordable to millions of preschool and primary school children (age 3 to 10) in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, with thematic focus on climate education, in alignment with SDG 4 and SDG 13. As an online educational service provider, at KidsEdu we take the safety, security and privacy of all information seriously. We have put in place the latest security systems and policies to ensure data security and respect the privacy of all our users.
We update our processes and systems regularly to comply with GDPR requirements. In Vietnam, KidsEdu complies with: the Vietnam Law on Protection of Children 102/2016/QH13 enacted by the National Assembly of Vietnam on 05/04/2016, Law on Information and Communication Technology 67/2006/QH11 enacted on 29/06/2006; Law on Internet Security 24/2018/QH14 enacted on 12/06/2018 and Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection (PDPD).
Our system is hosted on best-in-class cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Vietnam’s leading cloud service providers and makes use of the cloud service providers’ up-to-date security services.
Access to information: Access to a student’s information through KidsEdu app is provided only to the student’s immediate family members registered to the kindergartens, preschools or primary schools and KidsEdu. Only the primary guardians of a student (in most cases, the student’s father and mother) can register for other family members to have access to the student’s information on KidsEdu web and app platform. This access can also be revoked at any time at the discretion of the primary guardians.
Privacy of information: KidsEdu does not own any personal information about your student that is stored on our server, including any photos or videos. Personal information on KidsEdu system is not shared with any third party, except in special cases where either KidsEdu or the kindergarten, preschool or primary school will ask for express written consent by the student’s primary guardians before using any personal information of the student for marketing or other purposes.
2. Security policy
Web security: All information on KidsEdu database is stored behind an encrypted password, both for the kindergartens, preschools or primary schools and parents. Only those with authorization are able to access the KidsEdu system.
The system login website has a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate. SSL is an industry standard for securing online transactions. Having SSL certificate ensures that all data passed between the KidsEdu server and your browser remains private.
Server security: Information on KidsEdu is stored on cloud infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Service, Google Cloud and Vietnam’s leading cloud service providers, ensuring the most secure cloud computing environments available in the country with highly secure data centers utilizing modern electronic surveillance, access control systems and 24×7 security guard protection.
3. User Support Policy
KidsEdu’ user interface is friendly and self-explanatory. We also have an AI Assistant (popup chatbot)” that helps answer user questions, making it easy for you to navigate KidsEdu system by yourself without need for external support.
