In April and May, KidsEdu STEM collaborated with kindergartens to organize the STEM – Robotics Festival: “Protecting the Green Planet”. This event is for children to explore the world of robots and protect the environment through hands-on activities. Besides, it emphasizes the importance of STEM education and how to use STEM education to inspire future generations to protect our planet.
Engaging activities for young minds
Throughout the festival, children participated in a variety of interactive STEM activities designed to develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The central theme of the event, “Protecting the Green Planet,” encouraged students to consider the impact of their actions on the environment and explore ways to make a positive difference.
One of the most exciting activities was robot programming. Children had the opportunity to control intelligent robots to carry out tasks such as sorting waste, protecting animals, and planting trees. Through these activities, the kids learned how robotics can be used to tackle environmental issues, such as waste management and conservation efforts. These hands-on experiences not only allowed the children to have fun but also provided them with valuable lessons about technology’s role in environmental sustainability.
Promoting environmental awareness
In addition to learning about robotics, the festival also raised awareness about the importance of protecting the environment. Activities like sorting recyclable materials and planting trees allowed the children to take tangible actions towards sustainability.
